The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton

Review: This book was really dramatic. Ponyboy and his brothers named their gang the "Greasers" because they use grease on their hair. Another gang, called the "Socs", is hostile to them.

 

The Witches, by Roald Dahl

Review: A boy went in a meeting and saw that everyone there were witches. The witches planned how to turn every child into a mice. After the meeting, they smelled something. Then they found the boy and morphed him into a mouse.

 

The Wide Window, by Lemony Snicket

Review: The Baudelaire orphans were sent to live with their aunt. Then they bumped into Captain Sham. Who is he?

 

The BFG, by Roald Dahl

Review: The BFG is also known as the big, friendly, giant. The other giants treat him unfairly and they eat small children. What will BFG do?

 

Animorphs: The Android, by K.A. Applegate

Review: Erek was really strange. The Yeerks think they infested him with a slug. Erek wasn't infested and besides, he wasn't human.

 

Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck

Review: George and Lennie were great companions. George was short and smart. Lennie was tall, strong, and has the mind of a kid.

 

Animorphs: The Change, by K.A. Applegate

Review: Tobias was trapped in a red-tailed hawk morph because he was in that morph for too long. Then Tobias had lost his mind.

 

Animorphs: The Solution, by K.A. Applegate

Review: David was a new member of the Animorphs. When he learned all the skill about morphing, he became a traitor to the Animorphs. David has become deadly and he knows good tricks.

 

The Reptile Room, by Lemony Snicket

Review: Montgomery studies and collects reptiles. Then he was found dead. A clue that has been discovered was two tiny holes on his neck. Did a poisonous snake sting Montgomery? 

 

The Indian in the Cupboard, by Lynne Reid Banks

Review: Omri had a plastic Indian. He places it in his cupboard and locked it with a key. The next morning, Omri unlocked the cupboard and the Indian was alive.
