Introduction
So smooth, so soft, the melting feel all in my mouth. The milky, sweet taste of temptation. The soft feeling when it melts in the warm heat. All I want is candy, sugar, sweetness. All I want is. . .chocolate. The history of this historical creation that have went so far in the past where people loved it so much. The sweet taste makes me want more and more after each bar. I've loved chocolate since I was born and I will never get tired of it. Chocolate is very interesting because there are many kinds. Which do you like?

Q: Why is chocolate sweet?
A: chocolate is sweet because sugar, vanilla, condensed milk, cocoa butter, and other extras are added to make the chocolate sweet tasting.

Q: How is Chocolate made?
A: The chocolate nibs are taken from the beans to make chocolate. A man in Switzerland made a perfect kind of milk chocolate that was made by mixing cocoa nib, sugar, fat, and condensed milk. The U.S. became the world's largest chocolate making industry.

Q: What is chocolate used for?
A: Chocolate liquid is made for covering fruits, candies, and cookies. It is also molded, cooled, and it is packaged. Chocolate is from cacao beans, it is for making drinks, it is dried, roasted, it is grinded, heated, and blended to make it a confectionary. Chocolate became a famous drink and shops began to open has chocolate was being famous around the world. People opened up clubs such as the Cocoa Tree and chocolate was first manufactured in the U.S.

Q: How those the history of chocolate start?
A: Chocolate goes as far back as the discovery of America. It started in 1492, when Columbus returned from America. Chocolate wasn't really important till Hernando Cortez found the Aztec Indians using cocoa beans in the preparation of a drink called "chocolatl" which meant a warm liquid. In 1519, an emperor who drank 50 or more "chocolatl" a day treated it as a good for gods. The drink was very bitter so the Spanish did not bother to giving it any attention. The Spanish took it back to Spain to make changes on the drink with new spices that were discovered which were cinnamon and vanilla. Someone thought that it would taste better if it was served hot. Afterward, this drink was used to meet new friends and they kept it as a secret from the Europeans for nearly a hundred years. Spanish monks decided to let this secret out and it did not take long before Europe was a delicious and health-giving country. The drink was very fashionable in France and it spreaded on to Britain. After years and years, chocolate came to America. America produced chocolate faster than anywhere else in the world. It was about 1765 when the first chocolate factory was established in this country. Chocolate became very important role in the spirit of Armed Forces and it was important for the spread of cocoa beans everywhere. Many soldiers were thankful for the many chocolate bars that were being given to them during wats and it gave them the strength to carry more things. Cocoa beans are the product of the cacao tree. Some people said it was originated in the Amazon of Brazil and some others disagreed. No matter where it was found, this was a remarkable discovery.

Q: How is chocolate referred to candy or sweets?
A: Chocolate is referred to candy or sweets because things like sugar, vanilla, and butter is added to have the sweet taste so the chocolate won't taste bitter.

Q: How should chocolate really be like?
A: Chocolate should be hard enough to be snap broken, have a mellow flow when it is melting, be free of dirty things, have a rich, dark colored, aromatic smell and flavor.

Q: Are there other different kinds of ways chocolate is used?
A: Yes, there are other different kinds of ways chocolate can be used. Some other kinds are chocolate almonds, chocolate gummi bears, chocolate truffles, chocolate roses, chocolate ice cubes, and many more.

Closing
When I just ate chocolate, I thought it was just candy but after I started on the I-Search project, I learned a lot more. I learned that chocolate has added flavorings for the sweets taste it was. I wanted to learn the process of putting the finishing touches on chocolate. I'm thinking about visiting a chocolate company to see the process of making chocolate starting from the ingredients. Doing the I-Search wasn't really hard but it took a long time because the internet server had some difficulties so it took a longer amount of time to finish some pages. Finding the sources was kind of difficult but I'm glad I'm done with that.

I-Search Journal

Today, I had troubles searching for print sources on sources like SFPL. I had problems finding the right links that will go to a page with the information I need for my I-Search notes. It was tiring and I was frustrated from lookin at the pages that give different information and sites that gave me articles that were written.

Today, I had a hard time looking for information on my topics. I couldn't find any information so I guess I'll have to look for information at home. This is hard. There isn't any good articles on the topics I have. Well, I'll need more time.

Today, I messed up on the notes and me and my partner didnt take any notes. Then, we caught up and wrote some notes and we are partly done. It was kind of interesting but it was hard to remember some things so I had to re-read it.

Today, I was Stephanie's partner and I helped her out with her article. She helped me finish writing the red notes on my article. Then, I helped her out and i helped her through the note taking but i ended up messing something up and i accidentally deleted it. Sorry Stephanie, I'll help you the next time and help you type so you can finish faster.

Today, I worked hard and I continued looking for print sources at the SFPL website. Then, I finished and I went to my checklist and edited it. After that, I went to Yahoo! and looked for internet sources and they were very interesting. I found a lot of good sites on chocolate and facts that involve the history of chocolate.

Today was very frustrating. The server wasn't working well and I had to keep on going back and clicking on the links all over again. Then, I went to the websites that I copied down some notes into my notes page. I also went to Yahoo! to find more internet sources on chocolate and it was frustrating because some sites didn't have facts about chocolate. I was so tired of the the server not working because it was a waste of time when I had to go back and click on the link and going back again. Well, in the end, I did some work and it wasn't much.

Today's lesson was really long. It was kind of easy and it was really fast. I had to go back and put some bibliography information on the notes i copied from the internet sources I got. I concentrated kind of hard and time just passed by really fast. Then, I was looking through some of my notes and I had to delete some because i forgot the site and source I got it from. This was a quick day and I can't wait till I finish my I-Search in time. All we did today was do the bibliography and we took notes on article we havn't took notes on. I havn't really started on that yet so I'll have to do it soon enough.

Today, I finished on some of notes. I did some read and retell with myself and then I wrote what I wrote in my own words. The assignment was kind of easy because I was typing fast and the server was working well. For some of my classmates, the server wasn't going their way so they lost a lot of their work and they had to do it over again. Today's experience was fun and I hope I can finish my notes soon so I can move onto an interview on someone from Hersheys.

Today, I finished my work and I was bored. I was checking out some sports articles at Yahoo! and some sports sites like NBA.com. It was nice to read some stuff about teams and their eagerness to make the playoffs. I also went to Google and I just typed in names of people that are famous and I saw some funny pictures. That's most of what I did today.

Today, I made a Bibliography page for my name page.  It was some hard work getting the bibliography information on my work. I'm running out of time now, so I'm going to have to type really fast so I can log off. Today was a nice day and I got to do some of my work.I am almost done with it and I'll talk later.

Today, I finished up my bibliography and I just went around the web looking at sports articles and looking at the history of some baseball and football teams. I read about the Giants players and the 49ers players. I'm hoping that I can finish more and do some things on my checklist so I can finish my I-Search.

Today, I made a new page called the I-Search: Interview. I copied some questions down and I answered them. After that, I was done and it was really easily. Later, I updated some things and some pages and I was done for the day. I was sitting next to Marvin and he was fooling round and he kept on making me laugh.

Today was a simple assignment. I created a new story and it was called I-Search interview Questions. All I did was just copy and paste the questions from my top ten list of topics and I just pasted them to my new story. Then, I thought of more questions and i added them to the story so I can have more answers to the topic. I had five questions at one point and now I got eleven. It was kind of easy and I finished today's assignment really fast.

Today, I worked on my bibliography page. It was simple and we went to a site where they showed a format of the correct bibliography. I corrected some of the bibliography information that I had and I got to finish my assignment quickly. Then, I went to my Checklist with some extra time and I updated it. Then, I went to write in my I-Search journal to type out how my day was. I had a hard time because I kept on sniffing because I got a small flu and I need more tissue! Well that's all for today.

Today was interesting. eh. We made a new page for our I-Search and it wasn't much. I was kind of bored because it was a really easy assignment so I finished earlier. I was trying to start a rough draft on my I-Search and I looked for images of chocolate. I went to google because it was a good site for looking for images. I found some nice images but I didn't get to copy and paste them into my page. Well this was all today, I'm out.

Today was a hard task for me. I had to type in the answers to my IQ's so I can finish that part. I'm not done yet so I'll have to do it at home or maybe tomorrow. I need more sources and more information so I will have more information for my IQ's. I changed some of the IQ's I had and I had to change some of the things I had for my topics so they would fit together. Well, that was all for today.

Today, we wrote our introductions and when I tried to post it, the server messed up on my and the information was lost. So I had to do it all over again but I didnt remember a lot of the things I wrote. That was very frustrating. I wrote a few sentences after that and I saved it and then it saved. I got frustrated. I used some really nice adjectives, well in my opinion. hehe. Well, that was it for today, I think?

Today, I finished my introduction and then I tried to finish answering my IQ's. When I finished, I tried to post the changes but the dang server messed up on me and all my changes got deleted. That was very frustrating so I got kind of mad. Then, I searched for an image to put on my cover page and I found so many chocolate images that it made me very hungry. Well, after that, I went back to my IQ's and I could only finish one more so that was a waste of time. After that, I went to write in my journal and here I am, done.

Hmmm, today was interesting. I finished up on my IQ's after the server kept on messing up on me and that was very frustrating so I got really upset when it didn't post my changes for about 4 times. Then, I looked for pictures of chocolate and I found a nice picture of nice smooth chocolate but I couldn't copy it for some reason. I think I should be done soon enough and I think I should also do an interview before this week is over if i can. I got some ideas but I don't know how to actually begin the interview yet. I'm going to be done for today. I'll Be Back. fasho. Peace out.

Today, I think I finished my first draft for the I-Search report. I didn't do an interview so I did an extra two more IQs and then I finished answering my IQ's, finally. Next, I did my bibliography and I finished. I did my title page and I also need to do my Table of Contents. Well, that's all for today. Peace.

Today, I finished up my Introduction and my Conclusion. I had to get my conclusion paper from Ms.Carol. Then, I typed it all in and it didn't seem as long as it was. Later on, I helped out Andy on his bibliography things and his page. After that, I helped him on the I-Search Report page because he had troubles with it. I helped him out and I got him started on it. I think that if he continues to do what he does, he'll finish the I-Search in time.
