I-Search: Create an I-Search Checklist on your Name Page
Today we're going to go back and look at the I-Search Checklist to see where we are in our progress. The I-Search Checklist is now entered into a story on my site (in the I-Search: Students section), and I want you to create a story on your Name Page called I-Search Checklist so you can monitor your own progress. Here's an example: Example I-Search Checklist
Today's AIM: Students will copy the I-Search Checklist into a story called I-Search Checklist, link their story to the Name Page, and note where they are in their I-Search Progress. Students will then continue to find print sources, and if they have already gotten two, they may begin searching for internet sources.
Here are the lessons steps for today:
- Create a new screen so you can read these directions and work on the 8th grade site.
- Go to the 8th grade site and log in.
- Create a new story called I-Search Checklist, then link it to your Name Page.
- Go to the I-Search link on the left nav bar, then go to I-Search Headquarters: Students.
- Click on the link for the I-Search Checklist.
- Copy all the text from the I-Search Checklist into your I-Search Checklist story.
- Post your changes!
- Write a note in red text (or any readable color other than black) under each section that you've completed or partially completed.
- Continue to work on print sources or internet sources.
